The older HP/Agilent ESA-E series spectrum analyzers lack the ability to capture screen data other than by saving to a now-obsolete 3½″ floppy disk, or over LAN if feasible. While the floppy was a quick and viable option when these were new, it’s no longer convenient today.
I wrote this program to capture the screen over HP-IB and convert it to an image. Double-clicking the image copies it to the clipboard.
Requirements: Tested only with the Agilent IO Libraries Suite installed on the host PC. There is currently no option to change the HP-IB address, so the analyzer must be set to address 18. Future revisions may add an address drop-down if requested; however, I no longer have access to this analyzer series for development.
